This story was originally going to be named Indigo but I decided to make its sequel, too much stuff happens for me to fit into a large chapter story.

I'm lazy...like seriously.

This starts out slow but bare with me it gets better! I also drew what the main characters look like, I'll post a link once all of them are present in the story :D

I do not own Star Trek. Just the OC's I create for this story.

Chapter 1

The atmosphere in the club was lively and warm with heavy mixture of different food scents floating throughout the air. The techno beat of the music blaring from the dance floor thumped in her chest as she entered the dinning area and froze.

It should have been her first inclination, she knew it, felt it, but couldn't…no refused to acknowledge it. All week Helena had been asking her about the weekend, she was stubborn, she would admit that. So she took her less than normally aggressive suggestions about having a simple girls night out as that, but here she was standing stock still with mask of cool indifference on her face. Her hands were clenching tightly to her handbag as she stared into tea green eyes of the one being that hid horrendous truth from her. A truth she was now trying desperately to find a way to divert immediately as she stood directly in front of the liar.

Her eyes narrowed and she shifted on one foot ready to bolt out the first door she came across, but she saw it coming her so called 'best friend'. Smiling sweetly Helena scooted out of the corner booth she had revered just for them and snaked a powered blued clothed arm around Nayeli's. She batted her eyes to the two very casually dressed men sitting in said booth and excused them to the ladies room.

Nayeli tired to remove her arm but couldn't, Helena must have learned early on that she was a flight risk but she was also livid. Her mouth was set in a deep frown but her mind was also set entire time on the truth; there was no way in hell she was going though another damn blind date.

The restroom which was, to her relief, empty. Was simple cream colored walls, a few flowered paintings on that hung delicately and even two chairs that sat off in a corner. A perfect setting for poetic justice.

As soon as the door closed she ripped her arm away and tossed her handbag onto the sink which could have or couldn't have been wet. Whatever, she'll worry about negative bacterial probability after she dealt with this.

"What the hell Helena!" Her friend winced at her accusing tone but still managed to smile as if she hadn't done anything wrong, in fact she goes about rumbling though her own handbag to fix her make-up even stopping just before the mirror to fix her dress sleeve.

"Aren't they handsome?" She starts completely ignoring her. "The one sitting next the window is Zac, he works down in the morgue" she makes an ugly face moving a piece of hair behind her ear. "Creepy I know but he's so sweet, and such cute brown eyes!" she applies her lipstick slowly watching Nayeli friend fume in the mirror behind her.

"I said no more blind dates, I would never have agreed to come out tonight if I knew about them!" Nayeli gestured hard with her thumb towards the door.

Clipping her bag closed Helena sighs and spins around in her three inch high heels to, a playful frown on her face. "Come on Nayeli…" she walks up to Nayeli and attempts to fluff up her hair only get her hands slapped away. "…You can't just seal yourself up in that big ol' house the rest of your life. I mean you already have one cat…" Nayeli's eye twitched and snatching her wet bag from he sink she headed out the door.

Seeing that she hit a sensitive spot Helena flailed her arms in an attempt to reach her pissed off friend "No wait! Nayeli! Nay! I'm sorry!" she grabbed her arm before she can make it back to the dinning room, Nayeli looked down and her expression appeared to be genuinely apologetic.

Clenching her teeth Nayeli pinched the bridge of her nose and took a deep breath in. "This is the absolute last time…I mean it Helena" she's almost seething but slowly let it ebb away. It was a sunday night, they had work tomorrow and it would do no good to her to go to bed angry. Besides Helena was only trying to make her happy…no matter how ill-guided it was.

Helena was almost squealing with delight. "Okay, okay you won't regret this!" she pulled her over to the side wall and pointed a manicured finger to their booth. "You see the guy by the aisle? Tall dark shaggy hair?" Nayeli peered over and nodded. "That's Devin he works as on Orderly on the fifth floor"

"An Orderly…Lena really?" she gave her an incredulous look.

"Hey beggars can't be choosers!" Helena smiled and started to drag Nayeli back to the booth were the two men had started a fake arm wrestling game. 'Who said I was begging…or trying to choose for that matter' Nayeli thought. After a few moments of the 'game' Zac was declared the winner in which Helena gave him a congratulatory kiss. Devin whistled. 'Honestly these guys work in our hospital?' Nayeli thinks as she smiles to her 'date' and slides in next to him.

"Hello I'm…"

"Nayeli…" he finishes for her almost too eagerly "Oh sorry…it's just everyone had heard about you in the hospital" Nayeli raises a brow at him as she fumbles to continue. "Uh...the medical wiz kid, youngest in her field, the top of her class in every subject she studied…and...very beautiful" he took her hand and kissed it.

She actually sat and looked at him for a moment, he was very good looking tall, grey-blue eyes, and very dark brown hair. Still she held her reservations, she always did. "Well, since you know so much about me how about you tell me about yourself?"

He smiled "Devin, I went to medical school for nursing and did a bit of boxing on the side, odd combination I know but I was told it would help with my job goals" He shifted in his seat so his legs were almost touching her. "I was never that good at learning much in the medical field in regards to many of the technical terms and major procedures but I always wanted to help people so I became an Orderly" he smiled again this time triumphantly.

She forced a smiled and leaned on her elbow on the table top. "It's good that you found a way to accomplish your goals" she saw something flash across his face but ignored it. She wasn't that invested in this blind date to care about hidden meanings in looks.

Turning her head to Helena and Zac's side of the booth she caught Zac running his arm up Helena arm, she shivered from delight. "So what about you?" she addressed Zac who only half looked in her direction.

"You know the morgue, not much to say about what goes on down there...and not much into spewing my life story but went to college landed a job at the hospital and met this lovely lady" he started to nip at Helena neck and progressed on.

Nayeli shook her head. No shame.

Just then the beat on the dance floor changed and Helena ripped her mouth away from Zac. "Oh I love this song! Let's go dance!" she turned to Nayeli.

"Oh no you know I don't..." Nayeli started to protest hands up in defense.

"Ah come on, just one dance?" Devin was already getting up and reaching for her arm.

"Yeah come on Nay!" Helena was pulling Zac, who was taking his time to run his eyes up her back side, to the dance floor. Nayeli rolled her eyes and stood up allowing Devin to guide her to the heavily pack and sweat-fulled dance floor.

The song had an easy up beat to it. Nayeli didn't take much time getting into the flow of rhythm as she raised her hands above her head, swung and dipped her hips side to side. Devin seemed to be enjoy her dance moves came particularly close to her placing his hands on her hips, the sweater dress she was wearing sleeves had ridden up as she continued to dance and his wrist slid onto her bare skin of her lower arm.

It was in that contact that she felt something spark it was a hot inky feeling that creeped up her sides and squirmed around her chest, she knew this feeling it always cause her stomach to churn, a smug sense of satisfaction and intense lust.

Every time she would start to let lose and have a good time, she would pick up on things. It could be from a touch or an intense reaction but it always happened when her guard was down. Nayeli had an urge and every right to turn around slap him but for the sake of Helena, who was having a fun time tonight she just eased her way back from Devin.

"I need to hit the ladies room" she smiled sweetly. He winked and kissed her hand again, she than all but bolted off the floor and made a bee line for the rest room.

She leaned her back on the wall for support as she tried to quell the feelings that were overwhelming her. Sliding to the floor she closed her eyes and brought her hands to her face and took several deep slow breaths. This is why she didn't do blind dates...or any dates. It overwhelmed her...it hurt.

She was washing her hands for the second time when Helena walked into the ladies room with a huge grin on her face. "See what did I tell you?" she rose a brow but didn't turn from the sink "I saw how you were dancing on that floor!" she giggled.

Nayeli finished drying her hands and leaned against the sink looking down at the crumpled paper towel. "Yeah...I guess"

The auburn hair woman ignored her down casted look and checked herself in the mirror. "Come on the guys are waiting for us at the booth" she left the restroom first in a bubbly attitude.

Nayeli guessed she was having such a good time that she just failed to notice anything wrong with her. "Oh well...just have to get through this one night Nayeli" she balled the paper towel and tossed in into the trash reciprocal. After checking herself to see if she looked as normal as she surely didn't feel she followed shortly after Helena but stopped just short of the doorway upon hearing some boisterous laughter coming from the mens restroom.

The door to the mens restroom swung open and out stepped Zac with Devin on his heel, they both looked like they had just shared a particularly funny inside joke. Devin's face was flushed and Zac was trying to catch his breath. Nayeli slipped back into the woes restroom but kept the door slightly ajar.

"Man, I thought she'd bolt for sure once she saw use sitting at the booth" Laughed Devin.

"I got twenty credits that says she still gives you the slip" Zac finally composed grinned at Devin's unamused look.

"Come on now, how long have you known me?" he flashed a grin. "I mean Ms. Ice Queen herself said I always find a way to accomplish my goals"

Zac scuffed. "No, she said 'It was good that you found a way to accomplish them'" Devin's eye brows shot up.

"Oh so you were able to listen to our conversation with your hands and tongue half way down Helena's person?"

"Hey I'm only here because everyone knows Nayeli is the hardest to get a date with without Helena tagging along, so as your wing man I deserve some easy fun too" he smirked as he looked himself over in a mirror that hung in the little hall way. "...since your main goal is to only get Nayeli in bed anyway" Devin smacked Zac on the shoulder and nodded.

"Where no man has gone before!" he laughed and left presumably back to the booth was was good for Nayeli because couldn't sit hear a second more, she had a death grip on the bathroom's door knob and slowly let it go.

She stared down at her hand which had red blotches from where she had gripped the door knob, dark thoughts raced through her mind but none she would physically act upon. Nayeli didn't know if it was the pompous attitude of those two, the sick plan they had concocted, the names they called them that caused her to be filled with so much rage and disgust.

Nayeli needed to get ahold of herself because storming out into the dinning area and mercilessly pummeling two grown men within an inch of their life would not be good for her career, no matter how satisfying it might be.

Once she had clam to a reasonable state she peeked out of the bathroom to make sure no one was there then walked normally back to the dinning area but stop short of the Restroom entrances to look over at the bar. Right now she was thinking maybe a few drinks would get her though this night but when she spotted a particular bottle, it's curved neck and amber colored liquid had her mind turning a plan into place.

Returning to the table she plopped down and smiled at Devin who slid his hand over hers she could still feel it, it was like cloud of heavy clone, a smug sense of satisfaction and intense lust. As he talked she only half listened thinking about safe way from this situation for her and Helens because if she had to guess she would be right in that Zack hand the same idea going on in his pants for tonight-well that was never going to happen.

When Helena and Zack got up and attempted to leave the booth she thought fast because 'Oh no that was not going to happen', she reaching over she grabbed Helena's arm "Lena…let's go to the bar and get a round of drinks" Nayeli turned to Zach. "What'll have?" then she gestured to Devin for his answer.

"Oh...uh...Jack on the rocks" Zach looked a bit confused and somewhat deflated but sat back down. Good.

"I'm fine with whatever" answered Devin with a huge smile, if she wasn't so disturbed she would think it charming.

"Kay, got it!" she flashed a smiled and practically pulled Helena's arm out of it's socket with her to the overly crowded bar, she had to push past several people before squeezing herself and Helena between a large Bolian male and a scantly clothed blue spotted female.

"Ouch! Hey Nay you can let go of my arm now..." she hadn't turned to look at Helena but could tell she was glaring at her, or more so could feel the holes being burned into the back of her head.

"Bartender!"

"Nay!" this time Helena grabbed her shoulder and turned her around.

"Just one minute Lena" she feigned innocence's as she gave her order with a whispered a special drink to the bartender who looked at her with a questionable stare. She flashed her credits, he nodded once and hurried his steps. "Okay..." she turned back to Helena who was doing an impressive impression of a puffer fish. "What?"

"Why did you do that?" she had crossed her arms. Nayeli rubbed her temples and sighed.

"I don't know what your talking about" she idly flicked her finger nail on her card and looked Helena dead in the eyes. "I just thought we were having such a good time that a round of drinks would make it better" she was praying she would believe it or at least drop the subject. Helena's shoulders sagged a bit but she still didn't looked very convinced, Nayeli never pegged her for being gullible but she also wouldn't hang onto matters that seemed too trivial.

"Fine but after drinks I'm gone, I'm sure you'll also have your hands full tonight" she smirked and sashayed her way back to the booth. Nayeli turned just as the drinks were set down and rolled her eyes. The bartender handed her the special drink she order separately with another questioning glance before she paid him with a tip.

She suddenly felt like a devious criminal, but had no inclination towards remorse for what she was about to do.

Returning to the table she handed out the drinks with a cheerful smile, even managing to tamper down the grimace at seeing Helena sip on her Slusho mix in Zac's lap. Zac had only take a few sips of his Jack before continuing to roam his hands over Helena's body. Nayeli had a sizable glass of Andorian Ale and she took to it with a straw. Devin on the other hand had a light peach colored drink in a short but wide glass with no ice which he was holding up to eye level.

"What is this?" he sniffed it and wasn't repulsed by it initial aroma so he took a sip. "Hmm, oh it's sweet..." he took a sizable drink this time. "Oh, this is really good!" He downed it, slamming the empty glass on the table.

Nayeli smiled and took a healthy intake of her drink. "It's a bar special, since you said you were up for whatever" She watched him from the corner of her eye, he seemed normal but rolled his shoulders and neck as if getting very relaxed.

"Hey...um, what was in that?" he had his hand resting on his forehead now and his face looked a bit flushed but he wasn't sweating.

"Hm? Oh not sure I think some sort of brandy, why what's wrong?" she looked 'concerned' even turning towards him to get a better look at his face.

"Nothing, I just feel...a little...weird" his shook his head a little before it hit the table with a thud causing Helena to yelp and jump out of Zac's lap.

"Omg, his he okay?!" Helena placed her drink down and looked over to Nayeli who was checking his pupils and pulse. There was a groan from Zac as he got up and shook Devin's shoulders.

"Damnit, dude is such a light weight!" Nayeli held up her hand for him to stop, then picked up Devin's shirt sleeve bringing his arm an inch from the table and dropping it.

"He's out cold Zac, no amount of shaking is going to wake him right now. In fact it would be best to let him sleep it off" Zac ran his hand though his hair with a frown.

"You're the Doc..." that comment sounded a bit sarcastic but Nayeli didn't have the want or patiences to say anything. "Sorry Hel's gotta call it a night" Helena pouted but gave Zac a lingering kiss while Nayeli finished off her drink.

"Right, it's getting late" She nearly jumped out of the booth swiping her bag from the table and grabbing Helena's arm. "Make sure he drinks plenty of water when he gets up, no bright lights, and he might appreciate a pain hypo or two" she waved good bye and made a hasty retreat. She didn't want to give either a chance to ask questions and pushed her way through the crowed at the door she stepping into the cool January night of Sacramento ,California.

As she adjusted her sweater dress she could hear the tapping of a foot behind her. "Nayeli…" Helena's voice was condescending and accusing, she wasn't going to deal with this right now. Smoothing down her dresses unseen wrinkles she started to walk calmly towards the nearest Shuttle Stop and could hear Helena's frustrated groan behind her then the rapid tapping of her feet as she caught up to her. Her mouth was in a pout and devoid of the lipstick she so meticulously applied earlier. Nayeli resisted the urge to grimace for the umpteenth time tonight.

"Why" ask Helena not even turning to her. Nayeli remained silent. "Come on Nay, why…" her voice was a bit whinny now. "I know you had something to do with that" she pointed back to the Club but still Nayeli said nothing even as they neared the Shuttle Stop. Helena was now brooding and walking stiffly beside her. "That's medical malpractice you know" she knew Helena was just trying to get her talking, or at least explain what she did but it wasn't going to work.

So Nayeli stood at the stop as Helena sat stiffly on the bench, time past and they had been waiting for twenty minutes for the bus when Nayeli had heard her last angry sigh.

"He was no good…" she said idly glancing down the sparsely packed street for the third time in hopes that her constant looking would cause the Shuttle to arrive earlier than its appointed time.

Helena nearly jumped at her sudden voice "What do you mean?" she kneaded her brows together and titled her head letting her auburn locks fall to one side, Nayeli gave her a knowing side glance. "Oh" her eyes almost twinkled with realization. "OH! Did you get some weird thingy vibe from him?" she wiggled her fingers across her forehead in a crude attempted to demonstrate my unusual ability.

Nayeli shook her head and sighed "Forget it, the Shuttle is here" They sat in the back, Nayeli took the window seat and watched the scenery pass. They didn't speak about the club or anything for that matter, Helena didn't seem to mind as she was sending messages back and forth between someone on her personal COMM. Nayeli didn't dare take a look, not wanted to deal with the resulting headache that would mutate into a migraine.

At least Helena was no longer mad at her.

She suddenly felt very tired.
